Job summary

A heritage hotel in Singapore is looking for a Sales Manager to oversee the sales department. Responsibilities include developing business plans, managing key accounts, and ensuring the hotel meets its financial objectives. Candidates should have a degree in Business Management and 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to independently drive sales are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will uphold the hotel's prestigious 5-star brand and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in similar capacity, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Upholding the Hotel’s 5-star brand & image to deliver a consistent 5-star experience.
  • Able to commence work within short notice would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

To continue the legacy of Goodwood Park, we are looking for dynamic and committed candidates to join our Sales Department.

Reporting to the General Manager, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee room sales department.
  • Develop the annual business plan by analyzing business trends, marketing opportunities and clients' feedback to drive revenue to meet the Hotel’s financial objectives.
  • Develop long‑term and short‑term sales targets, as well as promotional strategies to drive results by establishing new accounts and managing key accounts.
  • Ensure sales call plan is effectively implemented and results of these calls are reported in a timely manner.
  • Keep abreast with global and local marketing/ industry trends; develop action plans to incorporate these trends into the business.
  • Conduct site inspections and guide potential clients to the benefit of the hotel.
  • Prospect and expand the client base and solicit new businesses through strategic identification of market segments and focused action plans.
  • Participate in tradeshows, travel functions and other major business events to network and create business opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the sales team and ensure that the team is continually motivated to meet revenue targets.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Review daily reports and sales forecasts to ensure actual sales exceeds agreed revenue plans.
  • Manage relationships and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure plans/ activities are implemented and well executed.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities in the hospitality sector.
  • Analyse and review competitors’ sales/ promotion efforts.
