Job description
    The role of Director, Global Sales at Airwallex involves establishing and scaling a high-performing global sales hub located in Bangalore. You will be responsible for defining the commercial strategy, sales processes, organizational structure, and operating model of the hub. Your primary focus will be on leading sales teams dedicated to driving revenue from global SME clients across various regions, ensuring that the hub consistently achieves its KPIs and sales targets.This leadership position is crucial for Airwallex's global revenue growth. You will be tasked with setting strategic direction, promoting operational excellence, and encouraging cross-regional collaboration. By aligning with global go-to-market priorities, you will drive execution throughout the entire sales funnel, from lead generation to deal closure.Given the international scope of this role, flexibility in working across multiple time zones is essential. Balancing your time effectively across different time zones and teams will enable impactful engagement with all stakeholders. The role requires a minimum of four days per week in the Bangalore office.Key Responsibilities:- **Setting up the Hub:** Establish and manage the Bangalore sales hub, including hiring, onboarding, and ramping up regional sales managers and AE teams.- **Drive Performance Across Regions:** Ensure that the Bangalore-based teams focusing on different regions meet pipeline, revenue, and conversion goals.- **Sales Operations & Process Excellence:** Define and optimize sales processes, workflows, cadences, and reporting to enhance productivity.- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Collaborate closely with local teams in various regions to pivot strategies effectively and align the hub sales team to deliver regional targets.- **Talent Development:** Develop career pathways for sales talent in Bangalore through coaching, mentoring, and structured performance feedback.Qualifications:- 12-15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in leading large global sales teams.- Experience in scaling international sales operations or hubs.- Preference for prior exposure to selling SaaS, fintech, or platform products.- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), automation, and AI-enabled sales tools.- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing, data-driven sales teams from the ground up.- Strong cross-cultural leadership and communication skills.Airwallex is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.,
