A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer with expertise in Civil & Structural and Geotechnical design. The role involves ensuring that all design criteria and relevant standards are met while coordinating with various stakeholders. Candidates should hold a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and have at least 3 years of design management experience in similar projects, with strong interpersonal and communication skills being a must. Senior roles will be considered for those with extensive experience.

Qualifications

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES& DUTIES:

• To ensurean efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Tunnel design isachieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards;
• To ensurean efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct design isachieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards;
• To liaisewith internal and external parties on all Civil & Structural andGeotechnical & Tunnel design matters and advises the NSC’s PRPM/SPM/PMregularly
• To liaisewith internal and external parties on all Civil & Structural andGeotechnical & Viaduct design matters and advises the NSC’s PRPM/SPM/PMregularly;
• Toco-ordinate the review of Contractor’s Civil & Structural and Geotechnical& Tunnel submissions and assists the NSC’s SPM/PM in conveying a timelyresponse to the Contractor; To co-ordinate the review of Contractor’s Civil& Structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct submissions and assists theNSC’s SPM/PM in conveying a timely response to the Contractor;
• Toidentify and resolve potential design related issues during construction phase;
• To carryout any other duties as required by the Authority’s Project Management Team,including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutesof technical meetings and to provide technical support as required in theevaluations of Contractor’s claims etc.; and
• To ensurethat the design intent is translated to construction on site by means ofcorrect drawings and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS& REQUIREMENTS:

• MinimumDegree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3years of relevant design management/coordination experience on projects similarin nature to the Works in the civil contract including design experience ingeotechnical works for deep excavation foundation works for tunnel and/orviaduct/flyover project
• Teamplayer with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidates with strong relevant years ofexperience will be considered for senior roles
