The company works closely across sales, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping, transparent pricing, and a smooth transition from client onboarding to project delivery.

Role Overview

The Design Consultant (Sales) is responsible for managing client enquiries and converting leads into confirmed interior design and renovation projects. The role focuses on client consultations, quotation preparation, and close coordination with designers to ensure project scope, budgets, and timelines are clearly defined.

Key Responsibilities
Client Consultations & Sales Support
  • Conduct client consultations to understand requirements, design preferences, budgets, and timelines
  • Present the company’s services, design process, and pricing structures clearly and professionally
  • Build rapport with clients and support conversion through effective follow-ups
  • Coordinate in-person or virtual consultations with designers
Quotation & Pricing
  • Prepare accurate and detailed quotations based on project scope and client requirements
  • Understand renovation cost components (materials, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, design fees)
  • Ensure quotations follow internal pricing guidelines and margin expectations
  • Revise quotations promptly based on client feedback or changes in scope
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of renovation pricing and supplier costs
Sales Administration & Coordination
  • Track leads, follow-ups, and sales progress in the CRM system
  • Prepare sales documentation, including proposals and service agreements
  • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed projects to designers and operations teams
  • Monitor and report pipeline status and conversion progress
Collaboration
  • Work closely with designers to clarify scope and feasibility during quotation preparation
  • Liaise with suppliers or contractors when needed to validate pricing or technical details
  • Share client insights and common questions with marketing to improve lead quality
Market & Product Knowledge
  • Stay informed on interior design trends, renovation materials, and pricing
  • Maintain familiarity with the company’s project portfolio
  • Understand renovation regulations and basic technical concepts (training provided)
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles
  • Background in interior design, renovation, real estate, or lifestyle industries is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable explaining design concepts in a client-friendly manner
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Organised and able to manage multiple leads
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and standard office software
Nice to Have
  • Experience in interior design or renovation sales
  • Understanding of renovation cost structures
  • Ability to read simple floor plans (trainable)
  • Mandarin / Chinese language skills are a strong advantage
