What You Will Be Working On
  • Lead a team of a few experts in quantum computing and networks/communications, providing guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic plans for quantum computing and communications initiatives in Singapore.
  • Conduct thorough technical due diligence on key quantum computing and networks/communications technology providers and unbox technical details from articles, serving as a key resource for quantum computing knowledge within the organization.
  • Collaborate with technical and domain experts to identify and develop early use cases and prototypes using cloud-based quantum computers, focusing on both hardware and software aspects.
  • Craft and eventually run grant programs, such as for end-users'' adoption. Support other grant programs aimed at growing the quantum computing ecosystem in Singapore, encompassing technology providers'' research and commercialization, and manpower development.
  • Facilitate and support quantum computing and networks/communications workshops, events, and overseas trips to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration within the quantum community.
What We Are Looking For
  • Master''s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum computing or networks/communications. PhD is preferred.
  • Strong quantum computing and networks/communications literacy, with a solid understanding of both hardware and software principles.
  • At least several years of experience in quantum computing, networks/communications, or related fields, with demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into practical applications; with at least a few years of management experience.
  • Experience in partnering with local research ecosystems and government agencies in technology-related projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills for conducting technical due diligence and interpreting research findings.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain quantum computing and networks/communications concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in grant program development or similar initiatives in the technology sector is a plus.
