Job summary

A technology service provider in Singapore seeks a professional to support VPC activities in the DataCenter. The role involves managing the physical setup and maintenance of Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure, requiring strong knowledge of server hardware and networking components, effective communication skills, and troubleshooting abilities. Candidates should be detail-oriented and familiar with large DataCenter facilities while being able to multitask across teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of server hardware, SAN storage, and networking components (routers & switches) is essential.
• Technical familiarity with components like HDD, CPU, RAM, and network/storage cards required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and across multiple teams is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Support VPC activities in DataCenter including setup/maintenance.
• Coordinate with data center facility for hardware management.
• Plan and work closely with OEM vendors for hardware testing and installation.
• Provide hands-on support for server hardware.

1. To provide professional services to support VPC activities in DataCenter including
2. Manage the physical setup/maintenance for Banks Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Infra
3. Ensure all hardware for server, storage, network and storage are mounted as per our design
4. Co-ordinate with data centre facility on the roll in, roll out of hardware, vendor access
5. Plan / Schedule and work closely with OEM vendors on physical installation, configuration, testing and break-fix for hardware
6. Provide 1st Level investigation into hardware or connectivity issues
7. Provide physical hands‑on support for all server hardware, e.g. power‑cycle or reboot

Requirements

• Knowledge on server hardware, SAN storage and networking components (routers & switches)
• Technical know‑how of server components, e.g. HDD, CPU, RAM, network and storage cards.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical terms/jargons with vendor's engineer
• Ability to effectively communicate across multiple teams, multitasking skills are required
