Job summary

A dynamic IT solutions company based in Singapore seeks a cybersecurity specialist. The role involves providing technical advice, managing IT initiatives, and ensuring cybersecurity across customer networks. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience and a degree in Information Technology. Communication skills are crucial, as the position demands service provision to clients across North and South America, addressing their specific business requirements. This is a versatile role allowing for remote and on-site work as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience related to cybersecurity in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards/guidelines such as NIST/PCI DSS/ISO 27001/HIPAA.
  • Preferably security-related certification such as CISSP/CISA/ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service to customers in North/Mid/South America.
  • Propose effective cybersecurity services to customers.
  • Manage IT initiatives in collaboration with technical staff and vendors.
  • Design IT systems and networks ensuring cybersecurity.

Required Skills / Competencies
Technical
  • Proven working experience as a cybersecurity specialist.
  • Capability of project task management must be needed.
  • Strong knowledge & expertise of cybersecurity related activities such as a) Cybersecurity Assessment (document/interview based), b) Network/Infra Vulnerability Check by tool and by manual, c) Penetration Test
  • Strong knowledge & expertise of cybersecurity tools such as a) Vulnerability Scan, b) Penetration Test
  • Preferably some knowledge & expertise of cybersecurity related activities such as IT audit/IT internal control
  • Preferably some knowledge & expertise of cybersecurity tools such as Endpoint Management / Behavioral Analytics/DLP
  • Preferably some knowledge & expertise of cybersecurity standards / guidelines such as NIST /PCI DSS / ISO 27001 / ISMS / HIPAA
  • Preferably some security relatedcertification such as CISSP / CISA / ISO 27001
Communication
  • Candidate needs to have strong interpersonal communication skills and an analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work independently and co-work with team member in rapid changing environment and exhibit strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Express difficult and complex concepts or incidents clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, especially with advanced documentation skill (visualization such as diagram and chart).
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with administrators, technical and functional team members, and users.
  • Can be adjusted with customer’s policies/standards for his/her cybersecurity task execution flexibly.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish as required in daily work. Portuguese (read/write/speak) is a plus.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides service to customers in North/Mid/South America.
  • Understands customer requirements and business objectives. Propose effective cybersecurity service to customers with appropriate solution.
  • Provides managerial/technical advice on using cybersecurity knowledge and technology to achieve goals and add value.
  • Manages IT initiatives and collaborate with technical staffs and 3rd party vendors.
  • Designs IT systems and networks ensuring the cybersecurity. Provides assistance with technical issues.
  • Work both independently & as part of a team to complete assigned projects successfully, on time & within budget. Monitor risks and proactively escalate and communicate with team members and stake holders as needed.
  • Provides technical advice, training and support to customer’s IT staff as designated by management.
Education and field experiences
  • 4 years degree in Information Technology or equivalent discipline / experience.
  • Must have 5+ years’ experience related to cybersecurity in corporate environment.
Others
  • Candidate can work in the time zones of EST, CST
  • Candidate can work remote and / or on-site when needed in the areas of NY/NJ/CT or Houston
