As a Cybersecurity Software Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the end-to-end development, deployment, and improvement of Active Defence solutions. This role requires knowledge of the attacker’s perspective and a willingness to pick up software development skills. To succeed you should have strong problem-solving abilities, and collaborative skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use knowledge of the attacker’s perspective to independently design, develop, and deliver Active Defence solutions in an Agile team.
  • Produce secure high-quality code and documentation.
  • Assess operational feasibility through requirements analysis and implement solutions which meet performance and security standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to continually improve processes in the development, deployment and operation of productionised systems and capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of frameworks and standards such as NIST, OWASP, and familiarity with attack techniques. Possession of cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP (or equivalent).
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability in replicating common attack scenarios. Proficiency in one programming language, e.g. Python or C#.
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a technical cybersecurity role. E.g. security software development, or security testing, or response operations.
  • Project Delivery: Proven ability to work independently on key technical deliverables.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues.
