Cricket High Performance Data Analyst & Coach - 3Cricket (Singapore)

Location: Singapore (multiple school & club venues)

About 3Cricket: 3Cricket runs year-round coaching, leagues, and school CCAs across Singapore. We’re player‑first, safety‑first, and development‑driven, blending fun with clear technical progress for U9‑U19.

Role summary

• You will be responsible for building a platform that will forecast match outcomes, player performance, and in‑game events. The role supports team strategy, player selection, opposition analysis, fan engagement, and betting/forecasting platforms using statistical modeling and machine learning.
• You’ll deliver engaging, structured sessions aligned to the 3Cricket curriculum, track player progress, and communicate clearly with parents and school leads.
• You’ll coach learn cricket groups, junior squads (U9‑U16/19), lead CCA sessions in partner schools, and manage week‑day & weekend fixtures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑energy technical sessions (batting, bowling‑pace & spin, fielding, game awareness) aligned to age and ability.
• Translate the knowledge of the game to gamify the concept into a predictive analytics platform that can be used to predict player patterns, match results, ball‑ball and in‑game analytics.
• Build and maintain models using regression, classification, time‑series analysis, machine learning (XGBoost, Random Forest, Neural Networks).
• Validate models using accuracy, precision, ROC‑AUC.
• Weekday & weekend clinics/matches.
• Set session objectives, adapt drills for mixed abilities, and maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
• Prepare squads for fixtures: selection, match‑day warm‑ups, rotations, and basic scoring.
• Track attendance and player progress; provide periodic feedback to parents/schools. Ensure safeguarding and first‑aid readiness; complete incident/near‑miss reports where needed.
• Care for equipment; set up/take down nets, mats, and safety gear; report maintenance needs.
• Uphold 3Cricket values and code of conduct on and off the field.

Minimum requirements

• Coaching certification: ICC Foundation/Level 1 (or national equivalent). Level 2 would be a bonus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technology / computers field.
• Technical – Programming in Python, R with libraries Pandas, NumPy, Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databases SQL, BigQuery.
• 3+ years experience in data and statistical modelling.
• Experience: 5+ years coaching juniors (school CCA/academy/club). Playing experience at a good level is a plus.
• Deep understanding of cricket formats, match situations and player roles and conditions.
• Safeguarding: Child protection awareness; comfortable enforcing safety standards.
• First Aid/CPR: Valid (or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks).
• Right to work in Singapore: Citizen/PR/valid work pass.
• Clear, friendly communicator; reliable, punctual, and organised.

Nice‑to‑have

• Specialist skills (wicketkeeping coaching, spin bowling, S&C for youth).
• Experience in international school environments (ASA/CCA) and working with diverse groups.
• Basic admin skills (Google Sheets, WhatsApp groups, simple match reports).
