I. Core Objective
This role is with a primary focus onfinance, taxation, and legal compliance. Ensure all company operations comply with Singapore laws and regulations, provide stable back-office support for project execution, and systematically mitigate identified financial and compliance risks.
II. Key Responsibilities
Finance and Legal Compliance Support
- Tax Compliance: Lead or coordinate with external corporate secretarial firms to handle monthly/annual tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to avoid penalties for late submissions.
- Financial Compliance: Develop a deep understanding of Singapore-specific tax regulations and additional compliance requirements for listed companies under ARCA. Assist in researching and applying for local financial subsidy policies.
- Account Management: Oversee the setup and maintenance of the company’s CPF account, ensuring timely and accurate contributions for local employees.
- Legal Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for local professional lawyers and tax advisors. Assist in reviewing engineering contracts to mitigate legal and tax risks.
- Insurance Management: Assist in managing the company’s engineering and commercial insurance matters to ensure adequate coverage.
Human Resources and Administrative Support
- HR Support: Assist in routine HR tasks such as employee CPF contributions and individual tax filings (IRAS).
- Visa Coordination: Assist in managing partnerships with external HR agencies or employment service providers, tracking the progress of work pass applications and renewals.
- Administrative Management: Assist in office leasing, daily administrative tasks, and logistical support.
III. Qualifications and Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Proficient in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written), capable of serving as a bridge between China headquarters and local service providers.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance, taxation, or compliance within a Singapore-based company, with knowledge of MOM, CPF, IRAS regulations, and operational procedures.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in back-office support within the construction or engineering industry.
- Basic understanding of or interest in HR processes.
