Qualifications

Corporate Finance Analyst:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Finance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate Finance team, gaining hands-on experience in deal execution, financial analysis, and industry research. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and gain exposure to the end-to-end deal process, from deal sourcing to closing transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Valuation:
  • Assist in building and maintaining financial models for potential transactions.
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis (discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions), and merger/accretion analysis.
Industry and Market Research:
  • Perform in-depth industry and company research to support deal evaluation.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends to identify potential deal opportunities.
Due Diligence:
  • Support the team in conducting due diligence, including reviewing financial and operational data.
  • Assist in preparing due diligence reports and summaries.
Deal Origination and Execution Support:
  • Participate in the origination of corporate finance mandates including preparation of high quality marketing presentations.
  • Collaborate with the team on preparing pitch decks, investment memoranda, and other transaction-related documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to drive delivery of UOB Kay Hian’s platform.
Administrative and Coordination Tasks:
  • Help coordinate meetings, data rooms, and document exchanges during deal execution.
  • Maintain organised records of transaction-related materials.
  • Deal documentation and internal approvals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field with a minimum Second Class Upper (or equivalent GPA).
  • Less than 2 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields. All candidates meeting the job requirements will be considered, including recent graduates.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
