ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Cook experienced in Singapore Chinese / Tze Char–style cooking to join our team at Katong V. If you enjoy working the wok, preparing homestyle Chinese dishes, and being part of a lively kitchen, this role is perfect for you!

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Prepare and cook a variety of classic Singapore dishes (e.g., zi char–style items, wok dishes, noodles, rice dishes).
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our standards.
  • Serve dishes on time while keeping the workflow smooth during busy hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
  • Assist with food prep, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties.
  • Support stock‑taking and replenishment, including ordering ingredients when needed.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • At least 1 year of experience cooking Singapore local cuisine.
  • Having valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.
  • Strong wok skills and familiarity with Chinese cooking techniques.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
  • Responsible, reliable, and a strong team player.
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays (shift work).
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
