What you'll do:

As a Controlling/Financial Analyst based in Singapore, you will play an integral role in supporting the Southeast Asia controlling team by executing a wide range of operative finance tasks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing data flows between systems such as SAP and Oracle Essbase, maintaining pricing structures within SAP, overseeing monthly closing activities, preparing detailed performance analyses for stakeholders across departments, and ensuring all documentation is meticulously organised. You will also be responsible for building reliable databases that underpin key financial processes while facilitating smooth communication between local teams and global functions. By proactively addressing issues as they arise and streamlining routine processes through diligent organisation, you will help create an environment where the controlling team can operate seamlessly even amidst changing business demands.

  • Support the APAC Controlling Team by defining internal cluster deadlines and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure all timelines are met efficiently and accurately.
  • Load forecast and budget data onto planning tools on a weekly, monthly, and biannual basis, ensuring information integrity throughout each cycle.
  • Execute various closing activities in SAP during month-end periods, maintaining price structures, discounts, and standard costs of SKUs with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist in the creation of new internal orders and cost centres while managing purchase order approvals and controls as part of daily operations.
  • Extract, prepare, and disseminate periodic performance reports from multiple sources such as SAP, HFM, and historical records to provide actionable insights for controllers or other teams.
  • Prepare variance analysis reports in collaboration with Marketing teams to ensure timely updates of A&P forecasts, offering clear explanations for any variances identified.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of priorities for the controlling team and drive accountability across all stakeholders involved in ongoing projects.
  • Build robust databases that serve as primary data tools for controlling purposes, ensuring consistent mapping of SKU, country, customer, and other critical information across platforms.
  • Document knowledge and execution steps for various operational activities to promote knowledge retention and effective dissemination within the team.
  • Manage approvals using Docusign as well as record keeping for contracts, price lists, business cases; support global finance teams and external agencies with data collection activities.
What you bring:

To excel as a Controlling Analyst in this organisation's Southeast Asia finance team, you will bring proven experience working within complex finance environments where accuracy and reliability are paramount. Your background should include substantial exposure to SAP-based processes along with advanced Excel capabilities, particularly around Power Query, to ensure seamless management of large datasets. Experience with Oracle Essbase or similar tools will further strengthen your application. Your ability to organise competing priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of documentation will be essential. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by fostering positive connections across departments and supporting collective goals through clear communication. Your commitment to upholding best practices in record keeping and digital approval workflows will contribute significantly to the team's overall effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP with hands‑on experience managing financial data within enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including proven ability to maintain Power Query solutions for efficient data manipulation and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Essbase or similar financial consolidation tools is highly advantageous for this role.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail when handling multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience preparing variance analysis reports and collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams such as Marketing or Accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build dependable relationships across departments while promoting accountability among stakeholders.
  • Ability to document operational procedures clearly for knowledge retention purposes within the team environment.
  • Track record of managing approvals via digital platforms like Docusign alongside thorough record keeping practices for contracts or business cases.
  • Comfortable supporting global finance teams or external agencies through accurate data collection activities as required by business needs.
