Job summary

A leading architecture and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Contract Specialist to support and protect its contractual interests across projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include reviewing client agreements, advising on risks, and drafting agreements. This role provides an opportunity to transition into a Contract Manager position over time.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years’ experience, ideally from a QS or cost consultancy background.
  • Comfortable reviewing contracts and discussing risk, scope, and fee matters.
  • Keen to move into a consultancy-side contract advisory role.

Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on client‑issued Letters of Appointment and consultancy agreements.
  • Identify key contractual and commercial risks and flag negotiation points during tender and bidding stages.
  • Draft and manage back‑to‑back sub‑consultant agreements.
  • Support Project Directors on variation letters, additional services, and fee adjustments.
  • Provide contractual input during fee proposals and RFP clarifications.
  • Act as an internal advisor to project teams on contract interpretation and contract rights.

We are looking for a Contract Specialist to support and protect the company’s contractual and commercial interests across projects.

What You’ll Do
  • Review and advise on client‑issued Letters of Appointment and consultancy agreements.
  • Identify key contractual and commercial risks and flag negotiation points during tender and bidding stages.
  • Draft and manage back‑to‑back sub‑consultant agreements.
  • Support Project Directors on variation letters, additional services, and fee adjustments.
  • Provide contractual input during fee proposals and RFP clarifications.
  • Act as an internal advisor to project teams on contract interpretation and contract rights.

You will work closely with BD, Project Directors, and internal teams, focusing on consultancy contracts.

Who We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience, ideally from a QS or cost consultancy background.
  • Comfortable reviewing contracts and discussing risk, scope, and fee matters.

Keen to move into a consultancy‑side contract advisory role.

This role is suitable for QS or cost consultancy professionals who want to move away from pure cost management into a broader consultancy‑side contract role. The position starts as a Contract Specialist, with the opportunity to grow into a Contract Manager role over time.
