Job summary

A leading international MNC in Singapore is seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Manager to coordinate Total Rewards across 20 countries in the Asia Pacific region. This role will work closely with the HR teams, implementing policies and providing expert advice on compensation frameworks. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in C&B, proficiency in reporting tools, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a 6-month contract position with opportunities for extension based on business needs.

About the job Compensation & Benefits Manager (Maritime)

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Compensation and Benefits (C&B) Manager to coordinate and engage the Asia Pacific region Total Rewards for an established & leading international MNC that is based in Singapore.

Reporting to the Head of HR, the C&B Manager will be coordinating, harmonizing, and implementing the Compensation and Benefits policy within his/her scope and providing advisory support to operational teams at the regional level, aligning the best practices with the companys HQ. In addition, he/she will be supporting and collaborating with the Compensation and Benefits team of a specific business unit for implementation and updating reporting purposes.

Specific Business Unit
  • As the expert on C&B within APAC, this role will control, monitor and support compensation and benefits activities for 20 countries
  • Liaising with the country HR teams, provide expert advice and assistance on benefits and market data benchmarking for compensation
  • Design, align and implement compensation frameworks and ensure the organization is optimally placed for C&B in the market
  • Work proactively as part of a larger C&B Global team to participate in projects and global alignment for C&B
  • Develop and maintain automated tools/dashboards on Compensation and Benefits data for the specific BU division
  • Build and communicate compensation benchmarks
  • Contribute to the development of the Compensation and Benefits policy in line with Group rules, then evaluate and coordinate the actions to implement
  • Monitor C&B practices and market developments to anticipate HR impacts on our subsidiaries
  • Collaborate with the HRIS team and local HR contacts to ensure the quality of data in our HR information system
Within Other Business Units
  • Ensure external competitiveness of the Compensation and Benefits structure and internal equity through analysis and monitoring tools
  • Manage the renewal of health insurance and welfare contracts in your geographical scope of responsibility
  • Contribute to build budget and monitor the Group's salary review process
  • Advise various stakeholders in APAC on Compensation and Benefits decision‑making
  • Ensure alignment of local practices with Group strategy, identify associated risks, and provide solutions
Requirements
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in compensation and benefits within a large international group or specialized firm
  • Proficiency in finance and a strong understanding of HR practices
  • Reporting tool skills (Qliksense, Power BI, other dashboard building, etc.)
  • Demonstrates rigor, methodical approach, organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, ability to build consensus, and work effectively as a team player
  • Comfort with handling numerical data, excellent proficiency in computer tools especially in Microsoft Excel.
Others
  • This is a 6‑month contract role and the key deliverable for this role is to complete their manpower & HR budgeting exercise for 2025.
  • The role may be extendable or convertible after 6‑month depending on business requirements.
  • There will be a completion bonus.
