Job summary

A healthcare provider in Singapore is looking for a Community Care Associate to assist in delivering quality healthcare services to clients in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include attending to clients' nursing needs, facilitating group activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Candidates should have at least GCE N level, good communication skills, and preferably some experience in community care settings. The role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives in nursing or rehab services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in rehab services or nursing homes or community care settings.
  • Training in healthcare support is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to basic nursing and general care needs of clients.
  • Conduct group activities for the clients.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the clients.
  • Work with therapists on new activities.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment with nurses.
  • Participate in quality improvement and serve as a role model.

Job description

Work Location: Bukit Batok Care Home/ Tampines Care Home
As part of the Nursing Workforce for the Vanguard Senior Care, the Community Care Associate will assist the Senior / Staff Nurse in the delivery of required and optimal level (quality care) of healthcare services, based on the defined care model, to clients in the Vanguard Senior Care.

  • Attend to basic nursing and general care needs of clients.
  • Conduct group activities for the clients.
  • Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the clients.
  • Work with the therapists on implementation of new activities.
  • Work with nurses to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement committee, and serve as a role model Any other duties as assigned by the CM (VSC) and Senior/ Staff Nurse.

Requirements

  • GCE N level
  • Preferably attained training in either of the following courses:
  1. WSQ Higher Cert in Healthcare support (Nursing Care)
  2. ITE Approved Training Centre Healthcare (Home Care) program
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to converse in major dialects is an advantage.
  • Strong organisation abilities.
  • At least 1 year of experience, preferably with experience in rehab services or nursing homes or community care settings.
