Job summary

A leading financial institution in Singapore is seeking a proactive Relationship Manager to acquire and maintain New-to-Bank SME clients. The role involves managing a profitable client portfolio, achieving sales targets, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in SME banking, strong understanding of cash flow management, and excellent negotiation skills. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CDD requirements, including FATCA and CRS.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire and onboard New-to-Bank (NTB) SME clients, building a sustainable and profitable portfolio
  • Actively manage and grow an assigned SME portfolio through deep client engagement and needs-based solutions
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets aligned to a clear and transparent scorecard
  • Drive business development through lead generation, networking, referrals, and market outreach
  • Provide end-to-end SME banking solutions, including:
    • Business accounts and cash management
    • Working capital and lending solutions
    • Trade finance and FX
    • Investments, insurance, and hedging solutions
  • Structure and recommend appropriate financial solutions based on clients’ business models, cash flow cycles, and risk profiles
  • Price products prudently while balancing commercial value and risk considerations
  • Maintain strong, long-term client relationships with consistently high service standards
  • Ensure full compliance with KYC, Customer Due Diligence, and internal/regulatory policies
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SME banking, cash management, and/or lending
  • Strong understanding of SME products, working capital cycles, and cash flow management
  • Familiarity with CDD requirements, including FATCA and CRS
  • Proven ability in sales, portfolio growth, and cross-selling
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • High standards of professionalism, integrity, and regulatory discipline
