Job summary

A leading assembly company in Singapore seeks candidates for an Assembly & Production role. The successful applicant will be responsible for assembling and routing wires, performing quality checks, and ensuring documentation compliance. Ideal candidates should possess technical knowledge and experience in wire harnessing and working with tools like crimpers and soldering irons. The role requires a strong commitment to quality and safety in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in wire assembly and harnessing is preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Assemble harnesses according to given specifications.
• Ensure accurate documentation of production activities.
• Conduct testing and inspections of final products.

Assembly & Production

• Assemble and route wires, cables, and connectors to create harnesses per drawings and specifications.
• Crimp terminals, solder connections, and apply heat‑shrink tubing as needed.
• Measure and cut wires to specified lengths using appropriate tools.
• Bundle and secure wiring using ties, lacing, or other approved methods.
• Install connectors, contacts, backshells, and strain relief components.

Documentation & Compliance

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Accurately complete production paperwork, work orders, and traceability records.
• Ensure all components meet quality and regulatory requirements.

Quality & Testing

• Perform continuity testing and visual inspections on completed harnesses.
• Identify defects and ensure timely rework or reporting of issues.
• Follow quality standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 (if applicable).

Tools & Safety

• Use hand tools and equipment such as crimpers, stripping tools, cutters, soldering irons, and multimeters.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company procedures.

Other information

• Working Hours: 8.15am to 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)
• Location: Changi North
• Company Bus: Pick up at Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Hougang, Punggol, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Tampines MRT/Interchanges
