Role and Responsibilities
A Business Systems Analyst bridges business needs with technology solutions. The BA analyzes processes, identifies requirements, and recommends improvements for greater efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful system implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Business Processes: Examine current processes in lottery industry to identify areas for improvement and automation.
- Gather Requirements: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
- Identify Solutions: Work with lottery industry suppliers to recommend technology solutions to address contractual requirements, identified needs and general process improvement.
- Document Requirements: Work with copy editor to create detailed documentation of contractual requirements and/or lottery system specifications.
- Testing Support: Answer questions from Test team, supplier developers and stakeholders with regard to system requirements as documented.
- Training Support: Vet system training material of new system for compliance with system specification.
- Change Request: Document Change Requests as needed.
- Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and senior management to ensure a successful project execution.
Experience Requirements:
- Exposure To Africa Region: Lived and worked with different African cultures for a minimum of 5 years.
- Extensive Formal Writing: Experience in writing submission papers to government ministries or newspaper journalism type of writing.
Language Requirements:
- Written and Spoken Languages: Effectively bi-lingual, fluent in Mandarin and English.
Travel Requirements:
- Frequent Travel: Must be able to travel on short notice to Africa and Latin America.
