Job summary

A leading marine services provider in Singapore is seeking a team leader for Harbour Support and Services. In this role, you will lead a team to ensure safe mooring, berthing, and supply replenishment operations in the docks. You are expected to have strong leadership skills and physical fitness to handle demanding tasks. The ideal candidate has experience in the marine industry, understands risk management, and can coordinate effectively with customers. This position offers a 5-day work week with a structured schedule.

Job Summary

You will supervise and lead a team to perform Harbour Support and Services (HSS) tasks, ensuring safe and efficient ship mooring, berthing, and supply replenishment operations in the docks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team to perform Harbour Support and Services (HSS) tasks safely and efficiently
  • Moor ships by handling berthing ropes during ship arrival and departure in the harbour
  • Manage the replenishment of ship supplies to ensure timely delivery and readiness
  • Provide and manage power supply connections for ships, including handling ship power cables
  • Conduct risk assessments for each task to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Oversee HSS operations on site to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
  • Plan and schedule daily work assignments for the team to meet operational demands
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers to coordinate and communicate work progress
  • Ensure all workers receive adequate training to perform their tasks safely and competently
Required competencies and certifications
  • Physically fit to carry heavy loads and pull ropes and electrical cables in physically demanding conditions such as heat and dust
  • Able to lead and manage a team effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • O Level / NTC in any engineering field
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience, preferably in the marine or maritime industry
  • Experience working at ports with rope lashing, mooring, and berthing operations of vessels or containers

  • Location: Pioneer Sector (Daily Transportation Reimbursed To and Fro)
  • Work Schedule: 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.45am - 5pm
