About Child Protection Specialist Centre (CPSC):

We are dedicated to providing quality home-based services and support to families and children experiencing abuse or severe neglect at home. Referrals are received from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Child Protection Services to assist families and children identified as needing non-statutory services and support. Guided by a child-centred, family-focused, and community-based approach, our aim is to empower families to reach their fullest potential and provide ongoing support through life’s changes and challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Carry out social investigation, assessment, case formulation, intervention planning.
  • Timely preparation of reports and case recordings.
  • Implement safety and intervention plans.
  • Conduct meetings, sessions, coaching with families, parents/caregivers.
  • Develop wraparound services to support high-need families through advocacy, referrals and collaboration.
  • Provide emotional support, guidance/brief counselling to selected families/children/young persons.
  • Provide supervision for social workers.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work or Degree with a Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working with and providing supervision working with child protection, mental health and/or family violence issues.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Has maturity, communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with professionals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to engage and work with children and adolescents.
  • Prepared to work two nights a week and weekends occasionally.
