About the role
Permanent opportunity for an Assistant Security Manager to join the team at Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd in the Changi South. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's warehouse and distribution facilities, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management.
What you'll be doing
- Reports to the Head of Security (SG) – to provide and suggest Physical Security enhancements to improve security procedures, preventive measures, and warehouse security systems. All security measures and practices must comply with global security standards unless otherwise agreed upon by global management.
- Responsible for implementing security standards in the Company in all operational activities, including company premises, warehouse activities and office security, to achieve required certification (C-TPAT, TAPA, RCAR, STP-Plus & KCR).
- Responsible for implementing the Global Security Crisis Management & Loss Prevention Plan under the guidance of the Head of Security (SG) and the Global Security Team.
- Responsible for follow-up activities to ensure successful security project implementation of security measures through, e.g., Risk Assessment, Security Audits and preventive measures taken based on non-conformity reports under the guidance of the Head of Security (SG).
- To provide security training divided into function-specific and general security awareness training depending on staff category; to ensure that training records are kept at the company level.
- Conduct investigation on security-related matters as and when directed and in communication with the Head of Security (SG), or MD/APAC CEO.
- Strong project management skills; to work alongside the Solution/Commercial team for RFP, brainstorming of security implementation (presentation to internal stakeholders/customers).
- To manage and work alongside the approved outsourced security agencies and to conduct security audits regularly, and spot checks (red teaming) of outsourced security officers across all sites at irregular intervals.
- To report any security breaches/incidents concerning the Company to the Head of Security (SG) immediately and provide immediate remedy.
- To act as the liaison officer to connect with local authorities (such as the Police, SCDF, Customs, TAPA, etc.).
- To have vast experience implementing/managing Security Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Closed-Circuit Television Systems. To provide new security technology solutions as part of the yearly project KPI. To have experience in utilizing Power BI and managing multiple software systems.
- Any other duties or deviations from this Job Description, as and when assigned by the Head of Security (SG).
What we’re looking for
- Diploma and above in security or equivalent
- At least 5 - 8 years of working experience in a related field or Security Management
- Preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations
- Emergency & crisis management / Loss Prevention skills
- Experience in logistics industry or supply chain management advantageous
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team of security officers (2 – 4 people per team)
- Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of security procedures, CCTV systems, alarm systems, and access control
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English for reporting incidents and interacting with staff, management, and external authorities
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify security risks and irregularities in day-to-day operations
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, Power BI (basic), SAP (optional) and other software skills
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, 5 days and require to standby during weekend/public holiday if require
- Working Shift/Time: Monday to Friday (830am – 1730pm)
- Frequent travel within Singapore Warehouse sites and provided mileage claims
- Required to have your own transportation
