Job summary

A recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Accountant to manage a full set of accounts for various companies. Job description

Assistant Accountant

  • Salary: $3,800 - $4,500
  • Mon to Friday: 9am to 6pm
  • Location: Tuas Cresent MRT

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts for all group companies.
  • Compile financial and non-financial reports for management review.
  • Prepare and review journal entries for Fixed Assets and General Ledger in line with SFRS.
  • Prepare tax computations, accrual entries, and GST reports for submission.
  • Handle annual audits and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries.
  • Record all supplier invoices and plan payments based on agreed credit terms.
  • Maintain service agreements and ensure SOP compliance in payment processes.
  • Perform AR checks on tax invoices and debit notes.
  • Handle cash application issues and prepare AR aging reports and statements.
  • Monitor overdue accounts, send reminders and letters of demand when needed.
  • Ensure credit management policies are followed.
  • Maintain positive client relationships in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Process payroll and CPF contributions using cloud-based systems.
  • Manage petty cash, staff claims, and insurance processing.
  • Submit government claims (e.g., maternity, NS, childcare) timely and accurately.
  • Maintain employee records and leave balances with proper documentation.
  • Ensure timely IRAS submissions (IR8A, IR21) and tax clearances.
