Function

Support the day-to-day operations in AFS Production department under the direct supervision of the Production Manager and assume responsibility for the creation of daily Technical Requests, print files, designs from 3D scans, drawings, as well as documentation.

Organization

The Application Engineer reports directly to the Production Manager.

Duties and responsibilities

• Becoming proficient as Application Engineer in FDM Additive Manufacturing technology, and subsequent post-processing technologies.
• Becoming proficient in EASA regulatory requirements around the design, production and Interchangeability of aircraft parts (continuous learning).
• Processing Reverse engineering based on physical samples or 3D-scan data, part design optimization, preparation of print-files.
• Processing the production work-orders, and submit print files to Printing Machine via control center software.
• Supporting the general upkeep of the Production organization technical documentation incl. forms, databases, contracts etc.
• Perform secondary processes, including parts inspection, part post-processing, measurement, packaging, and documentation.
• Assure safety and quality standards are adhered to as per Company Quality Management Systems documentation.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all workers, vendors, and contractors.

• Request necessary instructions, training, specifications, inventory, equipment and facilities in order to fulfill the function of the department.
