Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage the branch company’s operation in terms of regulations of compliance as a subsidiary company of Mitsui & Co., Ltd
• Oversee several elements in a business, day-to-day operations and guiding general business strategy, including hiring staff, operating budgets etc
• In charge for the company’s yearly forecast, budgeting, and expenses
• Formulate business standard operation process SOP with continuous optimization and improvements
• Develop new customers in relation to the business fields in Singapore and Asia Pacific countries
• Be responsible for overall performance and profitability of business
• Ability to provide efficient evaluations of business’s operation performance based on economic assessments
• As a link bridge in between Branch Company & HQ. Report to management on all business activities and issues
• Development of new ideas through digital technology to improve work performance and experience
• Managing activities of charter broking, operation, secondhand ship sales, sharing business strategy, mid-term/ annual business plan with the branch company
• The role requires regular communication with Japanese speaking client s and HQ; proficiency in Japanese is therefore required
