Qualifications

Jobscope:

  • Lab Testing & Analysis Perform tests as per the analysis plan or ad hoc requests, record results, and communicate findings to operations personnel.
  • Laboratory Equipment & Maintenance Set up, operate, calibrate, verify, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order.
  • Reagents & Standards Preparation Prepare reagents, synthesis standards, and calibration solutions for analysis.
  • Safety & Compliance Conduct risk assessments, follow safe laboratory practices, and maintain quality records.
  • Training & Support Provide training and technical support to lab technicians while assisting in method development and validation.
  • Laboratory Supplies & Management Manage the procurement and inventory of chemicals, consumables, and retain samples.
  • Documentation & External Coordination Write and update lab procedures, organize third-party analyses, and assist in customer complaint investigations.

Requirements:

  • Diploma Chemistry / Degree in Chemistry or equivalent
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment in the chemical industry
  • Sound knowledge and hands on experience in handling typical laboratory instruments like Titrators and chromatographic instruments etc.
  • Lab equipment such as GC, HPLC, Automatic Titrators, AAS, UV Spectrometer, Glass Oven, Rotary evaporator, Density meter, X-ray, TOC-Analyzer, Molecular sieve, TGA Analyzer etc.
  • Able to perform work in chemical plant lab environment handling highly hazardous and toxic material
  • Attention to details with accurate data recording skills
  • Wiling to work in Jurong Island
