Job summary

A leading aviation engineering company in Singapore seeks an Engine Technician to join the Engine Services Division. The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of engine components both on-wing and off-wing. Candidates should have a minimum NITEC in engineering and at least 2 years of experience in the aviation sector, with a preference for engine shop experience. Familiarity with airworthiness regulations and problem resolution tools is advantageous. Shift work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation industry, preferably in an engine shop environment.
• Good understanding of airworthiness regulations and requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAS).
• Capability or prior experience in Boroscope Inspection is an added advantage.

Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Engine Technician, Engine Services Division (ESD) Operations is directly responsible to Head of Business Unit, ESD.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remove and install engine components onto the engine/ module off-wing or on-wing
• Perform troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance work off-wing or on-wing
• Work performed using prescribed tools and equipment in accordance with approved technical data and relevant documents
• Compliance of work to all relevant statutory, company regulations and standards operating procedures in ESD and SIAEC
• May be assigned to perform boroscope inspection
• May be assigned to work in engine shop environment or in field on-wing environment (including short-term deployment overseas to support Aircraft on Ground situations)
• Any other tasks as assigned by superiors

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum NITEC in engineering and above
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in aviation industry (experience in engine shop environment preferred)
• Good understanding of airworthiness regulations and requirements e.g. FAA, EASA, CAAS and other NAAs
• Experience and good understanding of QMS, SMS and AS9100, OHS45001
• Capability or prior experience and training in Boroscope Inspection, Boroblend would be an added advantage
• Familiarity of inspection methods, techniques and equipment would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of problem resolution tools and LEAN will be advantageous.
• Must be able and willing to work on shifts
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook will be advantageous.
