Job summary

A boutique hospitality group in Singapore is seeking a self-motivated and ethical individual for the position of Accountant. Responsibilities include preparing full accounts, managing cashflow, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Required qualifications include a degree in Accountancy or equivalent. Singapore-based candidates only. This role offers the chance to work closely with various functions and is located in Telok Ayer.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and ethical individual with a passion for finance.
• Candidate with short notice period or immediate availability would have an advantage.
• Availability with a short notice period is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full set of accounts including variance analysis and cashflow for month end and year end closing.
• Prepare Budget and Forecast for quarter closing.
• Prepare timely payments to suppliers and ensure invoices are duly authorised.
• Perform other financial operations such as petty cash management and bank reconciliation.
• Work closely with other functions to ensure timely payments.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards.
• Liaise with tax agents and regulatory agents for compliance.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a self‑motivated and ethical individual with a passion for finance, to take on the role of an Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• You will first learn to prepare full set of accounts including variance analysis and cashflow for month end and year end closing.
• Prepare Budget and Forecast for quarter closing
• Prepare timely payments to suppliers and ensure invoices are duly authorised in accordance to company policies
• Perform other financial operations such as petty cash management, bank reconciliation, checking of expense claims
• Work closely with other functions (Project Team) to ensure timely payments and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards
• Liaise with tax agents and regulatory agents to ensure full compliance with the respective laws and regulations
• Other Ad‑Hoc analysis/reporting

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy / ACCA Level 3 or equivalent
• Prior exposure to Xero is an added advantage
• Candidate with short notice period or immediate availability would have an advantage
