Job summary

A leading global manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accounting professional. The role involves maintaining day-to-day accounting records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of accounting experience and a strong background in both accounts payable/receivable and project accounting. The position also entails collaborating with internal departments and external auditors, ensuring detailed analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting records (AP/AR, GL entries, VAT/GST schedules).

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly reconciliations (bank, inter-company).

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

  • Assist with preparation of management and statutory financial reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices, employee claims, and vendor payments accurately and on time.

  • Maintain vendor and customer records; perform ageing analyses.

  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments.

Project / Manufacturing Accounting

  • Track and record project costs, including labour, materials, and overhead, for manufacturing contracts.

  • Prepare detailed progress claims and billing schedules in accordance with contract milestones.

  • Coordinate with Project/Operations teams to compile supporting documentation for claims.

  • Monitor retention, variations, and contract adjustments.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and internal financial policies.

  • Assist with GST filing, IRAS submissions, and audit schedules.

  • Maintain accurate accounting documentation and filing systems.

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Work closely with internal departments (Operations / Project / Procurement) to resolve accounting queries and discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and banks as required.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or project-based environment.

  • Strong understanding of AP/AR, general ledger and project accounting principles.

  • Proficient with accounting software Dynamics and MS Excel/Word/Outlook.

  • Experience preparing progress claims and contract costing.

  • Knowledge of SFRS compliance and Singapore GST regulations.

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized.

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
