Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily accounting and finance duties, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in accountancy, with at least 2 years of relevant experience and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel and MYOB. This role offers the opportunity to work independently in a dynamic environment, handling the full set of accounts and quarterly GST submissions.

Qualifications

  • Min 2 years of relevant experiences.
  • Prior experience in MYOB system would be an advantage.
  • Meticulous, independent and has good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in intermediate Excel & other MS office applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting & finance duties including general ledger, tax and bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports for subsidiaries.
  • Consolidate accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in group consolidation reports.
  • In-charge of the full set of accounts.
  • Do inter-company balances and transactions reconciliation.
  • Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Monthly closing accounts, schedules, reconciliations, and reports.
  • In-charge of quarterly GST reporting and submission.
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
