Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our outsourced accounting team. This role involves providing accounting support to multiple clients while working closely with internal team members. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, highly responsible, and capable of preparing accurate financial statements as well as performing data entry and bookkeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for assigned clients to support financial reporting needs
• Input financial data precisely into accounting systems and client platforms to ensure data integrity and up-to-date records
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform bank and account reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness of financial information
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities across multiple clients to facilitate timely financial close processes
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, client requirements, and internal procedures to uphold regulatory and quality standards
• Assist with audits, reporting requests, and client documentation to provide necessary financial information and support external reviews
• Collaborate effectively with outsourced team members to meet deadlines and service-level agreements (SLAs), ensuring seamless client service delivery
• Communicate proactively with team leads regarding workload, timelines, and issues to enable efficient task management and problem resolution

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or professional qualification in accounting
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or outsourced/shared services environments
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel or similar tools
