Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore seeks an experienced finance professional to manage financial reporting, auditing, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and a strong understanding of accounting standards. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, overseeing accounts, and collaborating with auditors. This role requires strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with cloud-based accounting systems is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with process optimization, system upgrades/migrations, or finance transformation projects preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and communication capabilities.
  • Self-driven, able to work independently, and comfortable in fast-paced environments with tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Compile monthly management reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Roles & Responsibilities

Location: Jurong East (on-site)

Financial Reporting
  • Compile monthly management reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and handle digital filing requirements (e.g., XBRL).
Accounting Operations
  • Manage full-set accounts, including audit schedules and internal reporting packs.
  • Oversee invoice postings and payment processing.
  • Handle intercompany billings, reconciliations, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely entries within the accounting system.
  • Review employee expense claims to ensure accuracy and compliance before reimbursement.
  • Monitor cash positions daily and prepare weekly cashflow updates.
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
  • Uphold internal controls, policies, and procedural requirements.
  • Contribute to the alignment and standardisation of finance processes across multiple entities.
Tax Compliance
  • Prepare corporate and withholding tax calculations and coordinate with tax agents on submissions.
  • Compile and file quarterly GST returns.
Audit Support
  • Work closely with external auditors during annual audits and address information requests.
Financial Analysis
  • Interpret financial data and present insights to support decision‑making.
Transformation & Process Improvement
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, especially process harmonisation, integration work, and workflow enhancements involving newly acquired businesses.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Hands‑on experience with process optimization, system upgrades/migrations, or finance transformation projects preferred.
