Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable and payable, maintain financial records, and liaise with Chinese-speaking clients. Candidates should possess at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, proficient in English and Chinese, and familiarity with Synergix ERP is a plus. This role offers a dynamic environment with a full-time commitment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in spoken and written Chinese.
  • Familiarity with Synergix accounting system is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare budgets for each construction project.
  • Process staff expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the external accountant for monthly closings.
  • Liaise with auditors for annual audit requirements.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30 – 17:30 hrs)

We are a dynamic and expanding construction company based in Singapore, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.

Job Description:
The role requires a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes efficiently.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records using Synergix ERP (System interface in both English and Chinese).
  • Prepare budgets for each construction projects.
  • Process staff expense claims in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with the external accountant for monthly closings.
  • Liaise with auditors for annual audit requirements.
  • Provide support for other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by Directors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • LCCI, Diploma or similar qualification in accounting or related field
  • Proficient in spoken and written Chinese to communicate with Chinese-speaking directors, senior project managers and workers.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently in fast paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Synergix accounting system is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to work at Kaki Bukit (office).
