Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to oversee site progress and ensure compliance with M&E standards. The role involves managing installation quality, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with strong technical knowledge. This full-time position offers a salary range of $3500 to $4500 based on experience, with working days from Monday to Saturday.

  • Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation pertaining to M&E services.

Mechanical Engineer

Work Location: Changi, Project Office Lavender

Working days: 5.5 days 8am to 5pm, alt sat full day

Salary: $3500 to $4500 (depends on experience)

Job Description
  • Control site progress & installation quality as per approved Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions, and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Schedule for on-time completion.
  • Appraisal for works/products compliance to Specifications/Requirements and selection recommendation.
  • Responsible for M&E drawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawings quality.
  • Responsible for conducting QA/QC inspection, managing RE, RTO, and responsible for clearing QA/QC inspections to meet with construction schedule.
  • Provide and maintain all site inspection records & T&C records up to date.
  • Responsible for variation order cost collection, cost verification of the VO works, and making necessary recommendations for VO prices.
  • To check, evaluate, and confirm work done and material supply quantity status for the purpose of M&E sub-contractor/NSC vendors' progress payments including instruction on progress substantiation document preparation by sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Responsible for site implementation of safety standards to comply with IMS safe work methods.
  • Responsible for attendance at daily site coordination meetings and providing detailed coordination with subcontractors.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Good technical knowledge in mechanical & electrical trades.
  • Good knowledge of Local Code/Regulation Knowledge pertaining to M&E services, building construction, and safety.
