This position offers round-the-clock support, operating 24/7 throughout the year to deliver comprehensive assistance for the enterprise server environment. The responsibilities include the installation, configuration, management, operation, and maintenance of all Windows server systems and Windows Clusters. This role is crucial for maintaining system stability through daily operations, patch management, monitoring, and troubleshooting, as well as providing support for SAP environments that run on Windows.

Role Overview

This position operates continuously throughout the year to deliver comprehensive support for the enterprise server landscape. The individual will be responsible for the installation, configuration, management, operation, and maintenance of all Windows server systems and Windows Clusters. This role is critical in ensuring system stability through daily operational tasks, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting, while also providing support for SAP environments hosted on Windows.

Key Accountabilities
Strategic Management
  • Ensure that all Windows systems are effectively managed and maintained in accordance with vendor guidelines and security best practices, while also ensuring compliance with NCA, NIC, and SEC Cybersecurity regulations.
  • Operations Management
  • Install, configure, manage, operate, and maintain Windows Server systems and Windows Clusters (e.g., Server 2012, 2016). Provide daily operational support, including OS installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, virus protection, and resource management. Oversee Windows File shares and clusters, as well as support SAP, SAP HANA, and SAP S/4HANA environments on the Windows platform. Consistently review system logs and OS behavior to proactively monitor performance and resolve any issues.

  • Build Relationships
  • Collaborate closely with ERP, application, database, and web hosting teams to address daily support and break/fix issues, as well as manage scheduled maintenance.
  • Process Improvement & Knowledge Management
  • Manage and maintain client agents for server monitoring (SCOM) and server management (SCCM). Offer guidance for automation processes within the Microsoft Orchestrator environment. Develop and maintain both technical and detailed design documentation, as well as operational documentation. Create, manage, and delete user/group accounts, and enforce account policies. Raise and oversee support tickets with Microsoft, including troubleshooting, log collection, and follow-up activities.
Requirements:
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Years of Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in enterprise Windows Server administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows Server (2012, 2016+) and Windows Clustering. Extensive experience with Microsoft System Center (SCOM, SCCM), and knowledge of Microsoft Orchestrator for automation tasks. Familiarity with supporting SAP, SAP HANA, or SAP S/4HANA on Windows platforms. Skilled in operating system installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and patch management. Experience managing Active Directory, user account configurations, and group policies.
  • Generic Skills: Capability to function in a 24/7/365 shift-based work environment. Strong documentation abilities for both design and operational processes. Excellent skills in collaborating with application and database teams. Awareness of cybersecurity regulations (NCA, NIC).
  • Decision Making Authority: Empowered to install, configure, patch, and maintain all Windows server systems and clusters. Accountable for daily operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting in the Windows environment. Authorized to create and manage user/group accounts and policies. Responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of vendor support tickets with Microsoft.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (such as VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of network fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Knowledge of system backup and recovery solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach to managing tasks and documentation.
