Job description
Job Purpose

The Transportation Specialist is responsible for executing and monitoring day‑to‑day transportation operations to ensure timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of goods across all routes. The role supports the Transportation Section Head in achieving operational efficiency, optimizing transportation costs, and maintaining high service levels to both internal and external customers.

Key Accountability
  • Coordinate the transfer of raw and packaging materials from warehouses to the factory in line with production plans, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Arrange and follow up on the delivery of finished goods (FG) to HB or 3PL warehouses to meet customer orders and service‑level expectations.
  • Track and report First Mile and Last Mile performance metrics, including OTIF, truck utilization, and transportation cost per case, ensuring alignment with company targets.
  • Prepare and submit Proof of Delivery (POD) for all invoiced orders within the same month to support billing and reconciliation processes.
  • Monitor and manage customer returns (both good and defective) to ensure accurate documentation and proper transfer back to HB warehouses.
  • Support the onboarding and coordination of transportation suppliers, ensuring vehicle availability, reliability, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Monitor export shipments, coordinate with customs authorities (Jamarek), and ensure timely documentation and delivery for international orders.
  • Maintain accurate data and records of all transport activities, stock transfers, and KPIs using Excel and ERP tools for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for transportation cost reduction and process improvement.
Skills
