The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in airport traffic engineering, stakeholder coordination, regulatory compliance, and logistics planning for complex infrastructure projects.

The Traffic Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant traffic operations for an airport airfield project. This position requires strong technical expertise, hands‑on experience with airport traffic systems, and the ability to coordinate logistics within a complex operational environment. The successful candidate will contribute to optimizing traffic flow, supporting construction activities, and maintaining uninterrupted airport operations while meeting project objectives.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and review traffic impact assessments (TIA) for airport landside and airside operations.
  • Analyze traffic flow, capacity, and level of service for access roads, terminal curbsides, parking facilities, and service areas.
  • Conduct traffic modeling and simulations to support design and operational decisions.
  • Recommend traffic management strategies to optimize circulation, reduce congestion, and improve safety.
  • Coordinate traffic planning activities with airfield operations, terminal planning, and logistics teams.
  • Support integration of construction logistics traffic with ongoing airport operations.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to passengers, airlines, and airport stakeholders during construction phases.
  • Review and plan vehicle routing for service roads, GSE movements, and construction traffic.
  • Review traffic engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Ensure adherence to ICAO, FAA, local aviation authority, and highway design standards.
  • Provide technical inputs for roadway geometry, signage, pavement markings, and wayfinding systems.
  • Support approval processes with authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and monitor Construction Traffic Management Plans (CTMP).
  • Coordinate with contractors to manage temporary traffic diversions, access controls, and staging areas.
  • Monitor on‑site traffic operations and recommend corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure safety of airport users, staff, and construction personnel.
  • Liaise with airport operators, consultants, contractors, authorities, and logistics teams.
  • Participate in coordination meetings to address traffic‑related issues and constraints.
  • Provide technical clarifications and reports to project management and clients.
  • Support stakeholder communication regarding traffic phasing and operational changes.
  • Prepare traffic study reports, technical notes, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to traffic analyses, approvals and compliance
  • Provide regular progress updates and risk assessments related to traffic and logistics
  • Identify traffic‑related risks and develop mitigation measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and airport operational requirements.
  • Support implementation of traffic safety audits and inspections.
  • Utilize traffic analysis and simulation tools to enhance planning accuracy
  • Support implementation of digital tools and data‑driven approaches for traffic monitoring
  • Identify opportunities to improve traffic coordination processes and operational efficiency
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Transportation or Traffic Engineering is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in traffic engineering, preferably on airport or large infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in traffic studies, construction traffic management, and logistics coordination.
  • Experience working on multi‑stakeholder projects with operational constraints.
