We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to the fundamentals of great design – where every decision we make is in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own experience.

Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

The Global Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team ensures seamless industrialization, launch, and long-term excellence of innovative products. As a Supplier Quality Engineer – Program & Plant, you will be responsible for executing SQE activities and supporting cross-functional stakeholders (project, engineering, quality, plant) throughout the project phase and into mass production.

Reporting to the Head of KSA Supplier Quality, you will contribute to successful project launches from pre-sourcing through development. Your scope includes RFQ assessments, supplier industrial readiness evaluations, critical supplier identification, and capacity validation. You will monitor and communicate program status across SQ and plant teams.

During mass production, you will support plant quality by coordinating issue resolution with the global SQ organization when critical supplier problems arise.

This role does not include people management responsibilities but requires strong ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Support supplier readiness during early program phases in alignment with the sourcing strategy
  • Ensure supplier manufacturing deliverables meet program milestones (process maturity, part quality, capacity readiness)
  • Coordinate resolution of supplier non-conformities, ensuring recovery plans align with vehicle milestones
  • Conduct capacity assessments and confirm readiness against program requirements
  • Escalate roadblocks related to part/process maturity, timing, or capacity and drive follow-up actions
  • Represent SQ in program gate reviews, escalation meetings, and project activities
  • Provide regular reporting on supplier manufacturing progress and readiness
  • Escalate critical development-phase issues to project and purchasing teams and ensure follow-up is maintained
  • Act as the SQ plant representative during mass production, coordinating issue resolution with the global SQ team
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of formal experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or related functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (required)
  • Experience supporting supplier launches or greenfield projects preferred
  • Strong communication and program management skills with the ability to build relationships across internal and external teams
  • Familiarity with supplier industrialization, quality tools (ISO, IATF, DFM, GD&T), and automotive core pillars (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA)
  • Exposure to supplier auditing and assessments using industry standards
  • Collaborative mindset, data-driven approach, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to contribute in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Benefits

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
