Job summary

A logistics solutions provider in Riyadh, KSA is seeking a Shift Leader – Operations & Maintenance. The ideal candidate will supervise maintenance activities for Baggage Handling Systems, ensure timely resolution of technical issues, and manage daily workforce allocations. Candidates should have an engineering background and at least two years of experience in the industry, particularly in operations and maintenance of automated systems. Strong knowledge of MAXIMO and excellent communication skills are essential.

What are my responsibilities?
  • Supervise and monitor all related tasks of the BHS's Preventive and Corrective maintenance activities in accordance with workflows (MAXIMO), QMS, HSE plan, and related Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure technical issues are resolved on time for any operational impact regarding bag processing and technical solutions.
  • Prepare daily maintenance reports based on MAXIMO work orders.
  • Ensure all activities are documented with MAXIMO work orders in close cooperation with CAMM Operator.
  • Ensure smooth cooperation with BHIS Engineers to overcome any anomaly of the BHS.
  • Enable maintenance teams to perform tasks by providing technical expertise together with the O&M Engineer and needed administrative support, e.g., spare part packages, tools, PPE, conducting toolbox talks, explaining SOPs, etc.
  • Allocating the daily workforce according to work orders, generating maintenance reports, and troubleshooting any mechanical/ electrical anomaly.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure/increase the quality of services.
  • Control and cross-check the accuracy of the technicians' daily checks and upload the summarized report in MAXIMO.
  • Ensure that requirements of QHSE departments are adhered to by all staff and take appropriate precautions at all times during working hours and are responsible for maintaining a clean work area during and after the maintenance.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
  • Engineering background (bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical engineering or a relevant field).
  • Minimum 2 years of BHS / industry experience (Baggage Handling Systems or Process Automation / Industrial / Manufacturing Plants) experience at Supervisor/Team Leader level is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience in operations, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting of automated systems.
  • Strong understanding of MAXIMO – Work Order Management module is required.
  • Hands‑on experience in monitoring, controlling, and analyzing operational areas of the system.
  • Experience reviewing and improving operational processes, documentation, and manuals.
  • Good understanding of automated material flow systems.
  • Good awareness of quality and safety procedures.
  • Technical know‑how of PLC systems and IT‑based SCADA is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
