Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Millwright Technician to lead and execute mechanical maintenance activities during upcoming SABIC shutdown/turnaround operations. The Senior Millwright will supervise and perform critical tasks involving installation, alignment, dismantling, troubleshooting, and maintenance of heavy rotating and static equipment. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership capability, and strict adherence to safety and shutdown execution standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise teams performing mechanical maintenance activities during shutdown operations.
  • Perform and oversee the disassembly and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, blowers, conveyors, and various static equipment.
  • Conduct precision alignment of rotating equipment using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, and other precision devices.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Inspect mechanical components for wear, damage, and performance issues; prepare detailed technical reports.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed according to shutdown schedules, quality standards, and job plans.
  • Coordinate with planners, engineers, and safety personnel for proper work permit management and compliance.
  • Assist in rigging and lifting operations of heavy equipment following approved safety protocols.
  • Train and guide junior technicians on best practices, safety rules, and proper maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with PPE requirements, LOTO procedures, and SABIC permit-to-work systems.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Industrial / Technical Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8-15 years of hands‑on experience as a Millwright Technician in petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial shutdowns.
    • Extensive experience working with rotating equipment during shutdown/turnaround activities.
    • Previous supervisory or senior‑level experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA / Aramco Work Permit Holder / SABIC Safety Certifications.
  • Rigging & lifting operations certification.
  • Laser alignment certification.
  • Any additional shutdown/turnaround competency certifications.
