UPM is looking for the highest caliber to fill the vacancy of Senior Instructional Designer:
Functional Description:

The Senior Instructional Designer is instrumental in developing impactful, engaging, and creative learning solutions aligned with organizational objectives. This role focuses on the design, development, and evaluation of learning programs for diverse audiences, utilizing instructional design methodologies and advanced technologies. Working closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members, the Senior Instructional Designer creates content that drives performance improvement and supports professional growth.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct needs analysis and requirements gathering sessions using business acumen and Design Thinking principles.
  • Stay updated on technology trends and evolving expectations of learners.
  • Develop and deliver instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led courses, blended learning programs and job aids, aligned with adult learning theories.
  • Design curriculum frameworks, develop course outlines, and create content that is engaging, learner-centric, and impactful.
  • Work directly with faculty to define educational needs and design courses accordingly.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content, ensure accuracy and validate the effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Assess the effectiveness of learning solutions through feedback, data analysis and evaluation frameworks; refine programs based on insights.
  • Mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to team development through sharing best practices and expertise.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technology, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development or within a similar role.
  • Proficiency in e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate learning program effectiveness.
  • Creativity and adaptability in developing innovative learning solutions.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
