Restaurant Server - Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea

As a Restaurant Server, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following areas:

• Ensure that all guests are greeted courteously and attentively.
• Be familiar with preparation, ingredients, and presentation of all dishes offered in menus.
• Inspect the condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list.
• Work with an empathetic attitude.
• Ensure prompt and efficient service according to the resort's required standards.
• Ensure all mise-en-place is correctly prepared prior to service in all beverage outlets.
• Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day-to-day activities.
• Know the opening hours of all F&B outlets.
• Understand menu prices and suggest upselling when appropriate.
• Keep all departmental equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Uphold Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

To perform the role of Restaurant Server, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, including:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of restaurant experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are preferred.
• Technical skills include advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with hotel systems such as MICROS/point of sale platforms is required.
• Knowledge of hotel/resort policies on discounts, food promotions, etc.
• Familiarity with food and beverage terminology, hygiene standards, and inventory control.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with some knowledge of the local language and customs.
