Job Purpose:

The Real Estate Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing strategic locations for Independent Food Company brands, including SALT, Parker’s, Somewhere, Public, and others. The role ensures all site acquisitions, lease negotiations, and property management activities align with the company’s growth objectives and brand positioning across Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Site Identification & Evaluation
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify prime locations that align with brand strategy and demographic profiles.

  • Evaluate potential sites based on traffic flow, accessibility, visibility, and commercial viability.

  • Coordinate with Operations and Brand teams to assess the suitability of each location.

  • Prepare detailed feasibility studies, financial models, and ROI analyses for new sites.

2. Lease Negotiation & Acquisition
  • Lead lease negotiations with landlords, developers, and property management companies to secure favorable terms.

  • Review and manage lease agreements in coordination with Legal and Finance departments.

  • Ensure all lease documentation complies with company standards and local regulations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease records, renewal schedules, and key milestone dates.

3. Project Coordination & Handover
  • Collaborate with the Projects, Design, and Procurement teams to ensure timely site handover and readiness for fit-out.

  • Monitor project progress, resolve real estate-related issues, and ensure adherence to budget and timeline.

  • Serve as a liaison between landlords, contractors, and internal stakeholders during the pre-opening phase.

4. Portfolio Management & Expansion
  • Manage the company’s existing property portfolio, including renewals, rent reviews, relocations, and closures.

  • Develop and execute expansion strategies across new cities and markets.

  • Monitor real estate trends, zoning regulations, and competitor developments to identify new opportunities.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership for investment and divestment decisions.

5. Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, brokers, and government authorities.

  • Represent Independent Food Company in negotiations, real estate exhibitions, and investment forums.

  • Partner with Finance and Operations to align property decisions with business performance and P&L objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in real estate management, ideally within the hospitality, retail, or F&B sector.

  • Proven record of successful site acquisitions and commercial lease negotiations.

  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to prepare feasibility studies and market analyses.

  • Excellent knowledge of real estate laws, market trends, and regulatory frameworks in Saudi Arabia.

  • Fluency in Arabic (English preferred).
