We are seeking a highly skilled QC Welding Inspector to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all welding processes meet the required standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding inspection and quality control within the heavy industry and metallurgy sectors. The QC Welding Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections and tests on welded components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining quality assurance throughout the production process. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, thus playing a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and product quality.
- Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections of welded components to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Review and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and procedures to ensure proper execution of welding tasks.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle testing, to assess weld quality.
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports, highlighting any non-conformance issues and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement quality control procedures and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to welders and production staff on quality standards and inspection processes.
- Participate in audits and quality assessments to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Monitor welding processes and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting welding quality control.
- Preferred Candidate: Proven experience as a QC Welding Inspector in the heavy industry or metallurgy sectors.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in identifying defects and inconsistencies.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey inspection findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, including gauges and NDT devices.

- Relevant certifications in welding inspection, such as AWS CWI or equivalent.
