Overview
Dokainish& Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager with extensive aviation sector experience to support the delivery of major airport and airside infrastructure programs. This role will oversee contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage complex interfaces, and ensure compliance with aviation regulatory standards. The Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the execution of fast‑track Design & Build (D&B) programs within secure and mission‑critical aviation environments. This is a full‑time position, and the selected candidate must be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day project delivery activities across aviation infrastructure projects, including hangars, airside works, terminal support facilities, and secure airport buildings.
- Oversee Design & Build (D&B) contractor performance, ensuring alignment with technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client objectives.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams (civil, structural, MEP, ELV, FLS) across design, construction, and commissioning stages.
- Support project controls functions including cost management, schedule monitoring, risk assessments, and change control processes.
- Lead interface management with regulatory authorities such as GACA, JEDCO, Royal Guard, and airport operators.
- Monitor project progress, prepare executive‑level reports, and proactively escalated issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and security standards across all phases of project execution.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, design reviews, and technical coordination meetings.
Candidate Profile
- Execution‑driven project manager with strong aviation and airside delivery experience.
- Able to manage fast‑paced project environments and complex technical interfaces.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work closely with contractors, engineers, regulators, and airport authorities.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide teams and ensure disciplined project governance.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions constructively and influencing decision‑making with data‑driven insights.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive in mitigating risk and resolving issues.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aviation).
- 15+ years of experience in project management of large‑scale construction programs.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in aviation or airport projects, including hangars, airside works, or secure airport facilities.
- Strong background managing Design & Build (D&B) contractors in complex and fast‑track aviation environments.
- Proven capability coordinating with GACA, JEDCO, Royal Guard, and airport authorities.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, MEP, ELV, FLS).
- Strong knowledge of project controls, risk, cost, schedule, and change management processes.
- Must have full professional proficiency in the English language.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost control, reporting, and risk management tools.
- Understanding of aviation engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Power BI experience preferred).
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aviation).
- PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred.
Location & Mobility
KSA‑based. Regional travel flexibility required.
