Job description

Leverage your technical expertise and be part of a dynamic team in one of the leading Saudi companies in the natural wool manufacturing sector.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support and optimize the natural wool production cycle, from raw wool sorting and scouring (washing) to yarn spinning and fabric weaving/knitting.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of wool washing, drying, spinning, and weaving processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with production managers and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations and timely output.
  • Monitor machinery performance and recommend technical improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Contribute to quality control procedures at various production stages to meet company and industry standards.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating the use of raw wool, dyes (if applicable), labor, and equipment to maximize resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations across the production floor.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and procurement teams for timely resolution of equipment or material-related issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Analyze production data and prepare technical reports to support decision-making.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operators and junior staff on process optimization.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in textile or wool production, preferably in natural wool/cotton processing environments.
  • Solid knowledge of wool processing methods, including: Wool sorting and grading, Scouring (washing and cleaning), Yarn spinning (manual or automated) and Weaving or knitting techniques/
  • Familiarity with production systems, lean principles, and process efficiency tools.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and production monitoring software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities in a factory environment.
