The Product & Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new products, conducting market insights and analysis, and establishing strategic partnerships, while working closely with R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure successful product development and market entry.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and unmet clinical needs in Saudi Arabia.
- Lead product development initiatives in coordination with R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Translate market insights into actionable product strategies and portfolio expansion plans.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and manufacturing partners to enhance product offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, principals, and international manufacturers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance) for successful product launches.
- Monitor product and business development KPIs, opportunity pipelines, and performance metrics.
- Represent the company in supplier meetings, industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Leverage established relationships with NUPCO, government authorities, hospitals, and distributors to support tenders, product listings, and long-term contracts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in product development, market insights, or business development within the medical devices industry.
- Proven experience in product strategy, supplier management, and R&D coordination.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi healthcare market, medical device regulations, and procurement processes including NUPCO.
- Demonstrated ability to assess market opportunities and convert insights into viable products.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
