Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Package / Zone Manager to oversee specific sections of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities include managing resources, developing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction, with relevant civil engineering qualifications, including a Bachelor's degree and UPDA registration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 5 years relevant experience.
  • 2 years of GCC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage activities within the assigned package or zone.
  • Allocate and manage resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Develop and monitor detailed schedules for timely task completion.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and building codes.
  • Control costs within budget and address financial discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
  • Provide regular updates on the package or zone's progress.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Support HSE initiatives and participate in safety awareness activities.

They coordinate with various teams and subcontractors, manage resources, and address any issues that arise within their assigned area. Their role involves detailed planning and execution to ensure smooth and efficient progress of construction activities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all activities within the assigned package or zone, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and efficiency within the zone.
  • Develop and monitor detailed schedules for the package or zone, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and addressing any delays promptly.
  • Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and complies with project specifications and building codes.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with the package or zone, ensuring expenses within budget and addressing any financial discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and minimize accidents or incidents.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors working within the package or zone, ensuring they adhere to project requirements and performance standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during construction, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of the package or zone to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and team members, to ensure alignment and address any concerns or changes.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of civil construction practices, processes and protocols.
  • Knowledge of organizational and management practices related to the analysis and evaluation of construction projects, project programs, policies, and operational need.
  • Clear understanding of Quality, Health and Environmental management systems. Knowledge of Financial, Cost Accounting, Contracts Administration and Risk Management.
  • Knowledge in MS Office / MS Project / Primavera, etc.
  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Job Experience

Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus.
