Job summary

A regional engineering services provider is urgently seeking a skilled Motor Winder / Motor Overhaul Technician to join their workshop operations in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in motor winding and overhauling. Key responsibilities include dismantling and inspecting motors, performing rewinding operations, handling varnishing and curing processes, and conducting testing and diagnostics. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the Jubail industrial sector and those currently located in Saudi Arabia.

Job description

We are urgently seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Winder / Motor Overhaul Technician to join our workshop operations in Jubail.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling & Inspection: Perform complete dismantling of AC/DC electric motors and accurately record motor data, winding details, and inspection findings.
• Rewinding Operations: Remove old windings, prepare stator/armature slots, perform coil winding and rewinding strictly as per original specifications, execute slot and phase insulation, lacing, wedging, and proper coil connections, perform soldering/brazing of joints and phase grouping.
• Varnishing & Curing: Manage the varnishing process, including baking and curing of windings to ensure durability.
• Mechanical Overhaul: Perform bearing replacement, shaft inspection, alignment, and precise reassembly.
• Testing & Diagnostics: Conduct IR, continuity, surge, and basic electrical tests; identify winding, insulation, and mechanical faults; perform final assembly, trial runs, and performance checks.
• Workshop Standards: Maintain tools, winding machines, and workshop housekeeping, following all safety, quality, and job card procedures.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in motor winding and complete motor overhauling.
• Location Preference: Candidates currently in Saudi Arabia with a transferable Iqama are preferred.
• Local Experience: Prior experience in KSA (specifically Jubail industrial sector) is a plus.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
