Job Summary

Overseeing and executing various laboratory operations with precision and compliance. Conducting a diverse array of tests, ranging from biochemical to molecular assays, utilizing specialized equipment and adhering strictly to established protocols and safety standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Leading research initiatives, designing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
• Evaluating new laboratory techniques, technologies, and equipment to enhance research capabilities.
• Developing and overseeing proficiency testing programs to assess laboratory performance and proficiency.
• Communicating laboratory findings, interpretations, and recommendations to healthcare professionals in a clear and concise manner.
• Coordinating sample accessioning, tracking, and storage to maintain sample integrity and traceability
• Performing a wide range of laboratory tests, including but not limited to biochemical, hematological, immunological, microbiological, and molecular assays.
• Operating specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation to conduct tests accurately and efficiently.
• Preparing reagents, calibrating instruments, and following established protocols to ensure the validity and reliability of test results.
• Adhering to standardized testing procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Documenting test procedures, observations, and results accurately and comprehensively in laboratory records and information systems.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers and clinical staff to prioritize and expedite testing for urgent or critical patient care needs.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
